PAYP History
The idea for PAYP started with a conversation between Chamber CEO Dave Maurer and Jane Bristol, Economic Development Director for the City of Prescott. They both recognized that a “missing piece” in the Prescott business mix was a group that catered to the networking, information and eventual leadership needs of our community. There was immediate enthusiasm for PAYP from a small, core group of young professional business owners and word spread quickly.
“Any chamber of commerce should be looking at the next generation of business leaders and include in their program of work a group like PAYP that can cater to the specific needs of the next generation. They need the same business training, networking and community service opportunities that today’s business owners are receiving through membership in groups such as the Chamber.
