About PAYP

Prescott Area Young Professionals (PAYP) is a quality group of dynamic young professionals within the 21-40 age group working together to showcase the Prescott area as a place for opportunity, growth, and success. PAYP is supported by the Prescott, Prescott Valley and Chino Valley Chamber of Commerce.

PAYP provides unique social networking opportunities to help develop peer-to-peer relationships on both a personal and business level. PAYP provides valuable opportunities for the professional and personal development of young professionals, in addition to promoting the general economic interest of the Prescott area business community.

Members of PAYP have the opportunity to get involved, learn how to make a difference in the community, and become the next generation of Prescott leaders.

PAYP works hand-in-hand with the community to inspire like-minded professionals to action in making Prescott a better place to work, play & live.

PAYP’s mission is to build a strong network of career driven individuals sharing the same passion for business and community service while striving to provide leadership for the next generation of business leaders within the Prescott area.

The idea for PAYP started with a conversation between Chamber CEO Dave Maurer and Jane Bristol, Economic Development Director for the City of Prescott. They both recognized that a “missing piece” in the Prescott business mix was a group that catered to the networking, information and eventual leadership needs of our community.  There was immediate enthusiasm for PAYP from a small, core group of young professional business owners and word spread quickly.

“Any chamber of commerce should be looking at the next generation of business leaders and include in their program of work a group like PAYP that can cater to the specific needs of the next generation. They need the same business training, networking and community service opportunities that today’s business owners are receiving through membership in groups such as the Chamber.  We have a better opportunity to grow and maintain our local businesses if younger professionals feel engaged in the community.”

– Dave Maurer, Former Prescott Chamber CEO

Membership Committee

We enjoy meeting and collaborating with new people. We believe our members all have valuable experiences to share and can maximize our potential when we work together and learn from each other.

Our goal as the PAYP Membership Committee is to get to know new and existing members of PAYP. We would like to continue growing this great organization and get new members involved in all PAYP has to offer.

There are opportunities to meet other professionals, socialize, volunteer, and help with service projects and fun community events. We want potential members to know what PAYP offers and our membership committee is able to help them get involved.

For further questions, information and to get involved please contact Lucas, Jon and Maria by emailing them at PrescottYP@gmail.com

Service Committee

One of the goals of PAYP is to make an impact in our community through service and volunteer endeavors, and connect members to great local causes.

The Quad-City is fortunate to have overwhelming community support in charitable aid and non-profit involvement. The abundance of charities and service projects are what continue to make our community strong and our citizens thrive. Although, we would like to be able to assist all of the causes, we feel we can make the most impact by concentrating our efforts on a different cause each month throughout the year. Some of the causes will be integrated into or in conjunction with our After 5 Mixers(Click here to learn about what we have planned for 2017.)

Education Committee

Lunch & Learn is a speaker series featuring industry experts discussing the things they know best. These events are a bit more intimate, and a little more structured, than our After5 networking events. Each Lunch & Learn event is a 30 to 45 minute speaker presentation book-ended with discussion and of course, some networking. In the end, Lunch & Learn was put together to help inspire your own professional development by giving you an opportunity to not just engage with your city, but interact with the knowledge and people that help drive a city on the move.
