Heather Reed

Independent Beauty Consultant, Mary Kay Cosmetics

Secretary, Prescott Area Young Professionals

Heather Reed grew up in Scottsdale, Arizona.  She is an alumni of Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, TX where she received her bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising and Business.  She then went on to The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles, CA where she received her Professional Designation degree in Fashion Design.

After seven years in the fashion business in Las Vegas, Heather decided it was time to move back to her home state of Arizona.  In the fall of 2014, she moved to Prescott and started her business as an Independent Beauty Consultant with Mary Kay Cosmetics.  “Moving back to Arizona was one of the best decisions I ever made.”  Heather now enjoys being closer to her family and being a small business owner.  “The best part of my business is the amazing people I get to spend my day with.  My clients are so much fun!”

Heather is currently part of the Prescott Area Leadership (PAL) Best Class 27.  The mission of PAL is to develop and inspire individuals to contribute to the vitality and leadership of central Yavapai County.  Heather is also a member of the Prescott Area Celtic Society (PACS) and Daughters of the British Empire (DBE).  Through her membership in PACS and DBE Heather is able to volunteer in her community with the Last Minute Stocking Stuffer Bazzar, Prescott holiday parades, Prescott Highland Games and other local service opportunities.  It’s always a good time getting together with friends from these organizations and celebrating her Scottish heritage.

Heather joined Prescott Area Young Professionals (PAYP) her second day in Prescott.  In the last two and a half years she has enjoyed getting to know other young professionals thru social and networking events.  Heather is currently serving on the board of PAYP as Secretary and the planning committee for Party in the Pines.  The opportunity to work with other PAYP members to bring Party in the Pines to the Prescott community is something Heather is looking forward to again this year.  “Every year Party in the Pines continues to grow.” Sponsoring this event allows PAYP to donate funds to the community to help improve the future of Prescott.

In her spare moments Heather enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, sketching, watching her TCU Horned Frogs and driving her Mustang.
